Sami Sorokas had two goals and an assist to led the Misericordia University field hockey team to a 3-0 win at Delaware Valley, Thursday.
Courtney Thomas added a goal for the Cougars and
Katie Gabriele had a pair of assists.
Haley Brandt made four saves to earn the shutout.
Sorokas gave MU a 1-0 lead just 2:10 into the game with an assist from Gabriele and the duo hooked up again 11 minutes later to make it 2-0.
Thomas added a goal with an assist from Sorokas with just over 10 minutes remaining.
Misericordia held a 13-4 advantage in shots, including an 8-1 margin in the first half.
MU is 4-10 overall and finished 2-5 in the Freedom Conference. The Cougars will play at Marywood, Friday at 7:00.
