The Misericordia University softball dropped a pair of games at the Rebel Spring Games, Monday.
MU lost to Methodist, 3-2 in eight innings, and Bluffton, 7-5.
Trailing 2-0 in the fifth inning against Methodist,
Caitlin Cromley and Nicole Boccia singled before
Jill Castaldi,
Emily Hullings and
Amanda Polaha drew back-to-back-back walks to tie the score.
Methodist won the game in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Cromley struck out seven in a losing effort on the mound.
Against Bluffton, the Cougars trailed 3-0 before taking advantage of four walks to pull within 3-2.
Hollie Sarnak singled and
Nicole Wenner drilled the team's first homer of the season for a 4-3 lead.
Bluffton regained the lead with a four-run sixth.
Maria Kidron led off the seventh inning with a triple and scored on Sarnak's single, but the Cougars couldn't get any closer.
