Kat LaBrie hit a grand slam to lift the Misericordia University softball team to a doubleheader sweep at Lycoming, Monday.

After driving in the only run of the game in a 1-0 MU in the opener, LaBrie's slam capped a six-run sixth-inning rally to give MU a 6-4 win in the nightcap.

Caitlin Cromley tossed a four-hitter to earn the win and aided her own cause with a pair of hits.

In game two, Maria Kidron doubled and Hollie Sarnak and Nicole Boccia both drove in runs.

Emily Barnable tossed three shutout innings in relief to earn her first collegiate win.

LaBrie sparked the game-winning rally in the sixth-inning of a scoreless game in the opener when she drew a one-out pinch-hit walk.

Amanda Polaha doubled to send LaBrie to third and she came home with the only run of the game on a two-out error.

In the nightcap, MU trailed 4-0 in the sixth before striking for six runs.

Jill Castaldi singled and moved to third on Kidron's double before Emily Hullings bunt single loaded the bases.

Hollie Sarnak got the Cougars on the board with a sacrifice fly and Boccia forced in a run with walk to make it 4-2 in front of LaBrie's grad slam.

Misericordia, 15-12, will host Marywood, Tuesday.
