Kidron, Sarnak Homer Twice, Cougars Split With King's

Maria Kidron and Hollie Sarnak both homered twice to lead the Misericordia University softball team to an 8-0 win in the first game of doubleheader with King's, Saturday at Anderson Field.
King's won the nightcap, 13-0.

Kidron belted a pair of three-run homers, including a game-ending shot in the bottom of the sixth, and Sarnak hit two solo shots in the first game.

Nicole Boccia added two hits for the Cougars and Caitlin Cromley allowed just three hits to earn the win.

Sarnak gave MU a 1-0 with a two-out solo homer in the bottom of the first.

Boccia singled with one out in the second and pinch-runner Marissa Chiampi moved up on Jen Cory's sacrifice. Jill Castaldi walked and Kidron made it 4-0 with a three-run homer to left field.

Sarnak lined another solo shot to center to make 5-0 after five innings.

Sami Cragle led off the sixth inning with an infield single and pinch-runner Jess Armillay moved to second on Boccia's single.

Two outs later, Kidron ended the game with a three-run homer to left.

MU, 10-10 (3-3), will visit Delaware Valley, Monday.
