Andy Bush had two goals and two assists to lead the Misericordia University men's soccer team to a 4-0 win over Baptist Bible in their season opener, Thursday night at Mangelsdorf Field.

Eric Kishbaugh had a goal and an assist and Dan Pinto added a goal as Misericordia beat the Defenders for the 15th consecutive time.

Bush gave MU a 1-0 lead at 5:41 with assists from Matt Scott and David Stoner. Scott played a ball to Stoner along the end line who served to Bush for a one-timer inside the far post.

Seven minutes later, Bush fed Kisbaugh who found Pinto on a run down the right side and the senior slotted a ball inside the right post for a 2-0 lead at 13:30.

Less than two minutes later, Bush fed Kishbaugh whose grounded shot deflected off a diving Dillon Bowman's hands for a 3-0 MU lead at 15:23.

Bush had a near-miss when his one-timer went just wide left, but he found his mark when he drilled a shot from 35 yards out to cap the scoring at 27:44.

MU's best scoring chance of a scoreless second half came just four minutes into the period when Nick
Ferguson carried the ball through the middle of the field and ripped a shot from 18 yards out that found Bowman.

Dan Fritz made two saves in goal for MU.

MU travels to Ursinus, Saturday.
