The Misericordia Cougars men's soccer team came out shooting in a 3-0 victory over Lebanon Valley, Wednesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.

Andy Bush led the way with a goal and an assist for the Cougars who outshot the Dutchmen, 20-4.

Nick vonEgypt and Matt Scott both added goals while Dan Fritz earned his fourth shutout of the year in goal.

vonEgypt gave the Cougars the only goal they would need when he scored a goal from a Bush pass just 10 minutes into the match.

The Cougars had another solid scoring opportunity later in the half when Eric Kishbaugh crossed a ball to Nick Ferguson, whose header was on net, but right into the waiting arms of the LVC keeper.

Scott played a ball down field to an open Bush, but it was just out of his reach.

Misericordia threatened early in the second half with a cross from Bush to Dan Pinto, but his shot caromed off the near post.

In the 60th minute, the Cougars scored off a Pinto pass to Eric Kishbaugh, who one-timed it to Bush who buried it in off the far post.

The Cougars put the game away in the 80th minute on a cross from Ferguson to Scott, who squeaked it by the keeper off the near post.

With less than two minutes left Chris Panagacos dribbled in off the right wing and made two defenders before his shot off that glanced off the far post.

The lone shot on goal from Lebanon Valley came off the head of Brandon Steele, but was saved by a diving Dan Fritz

Misericordia, 8-0, will open Freedom Conference play against Wilkes, Saturday at Mangelsdorf Field.
