Andy Bush and Eric Kishbaugh connected for a pair of goals to lead the Misericordia University men's soccer team to a 2-0 win over King's in the Freedom Conference semifinals, Friday at Mangelsdorf Field.

Misericordia will host FDU-Florham in the Freedom championship match, Sunday.

Bush scored both goals while Kishbaugh assisted on both tallies as the Cougars improved to 12-6-2 and advanced to the Freedom title match for the fourth time in five years.

MU got on the board when Kishbaugh served a ball over the top from the left side and Bush headed it inside the left post at 22:01.

Bush added an insurance goal at 69:07.  Kishbaugh out ran a King's defender to win a loose ball down the right side line and crossed a ball in front and Bush headed it inside the left post.

Barry Fitzgerald made two saves to earn the shutout.

Mark Labbadia had five saves for King's who fell to 10-6-2.

Misericordia held a 14-8 advantage in shots and had a 5-4 edge in corners.

Dan Pinto gave Misericordia an early scoring opportunity with a shot from 10 yards out, but Labbadia made the stop in the opening minute.

King's threatened at the 10:00 mark, but the Cougars defense cleared two balls out of their box before the Monarchs' Daniel Hernandez fired a shot wide left.

Nick vonEgypt played a long ball to Pinto to the left corner early in the second half, but Chris Conaty made a nice defensive play to win the ball for King's.

Off a re-start, Greg Korhonen served a ball to the far post, but Rob Wiacek's header was high at 55:00.

Labbadia came off his line to beat Bush to a through-ball and thwart an MU attack at 57:20.

Six minutes later, Bush served a ball from the right flank and vonEgypt headed a shot wide left and Nick Ferguson's rebound was saved.

Fitzgerald came off his line to beat a King's forward to a ball at 65:00.

After Bush made it 2-0, Josh Pfahl ripped a shot wide right from 25 yards out.

The MU defense stuffed a pair Monarchs' shots with just under 20 minutes to play and Fitzgerald was in the right place on Erik Foster's shot from the top of the box four minutes later.
