Box Score The Misericordia University women's basketball team wrapped up first semester action with a 93-41 loss to Muhlenberg, Tuesday afternoon at the Anderson Center.
Tyann McDaniel led the Cougars with 13 points.
The Cougars shot just 18.0% from the floor for the game and were 2-20 from three-point range.
Muhlenberg used a 13-0 run to snap a 6-6 tie and take 19-6 lead with 10:48 to play in the first half.
McDaniel converted a steal at midcourt into a layup to cut the margin to 21-9, but Muhlenberg responded with six straight points for a 27-9 lead with 5:48 to go.
McDaniel scored on three straight possessions late in the first half.
She drained a three-pointer from the top of the key with 4:17 left in the half and followed with a layup off a long pass from
Nikki Baro.
McDaniel made a pair of free throws with 2:49 to go in the half, but the Cougars didn't score again the rest of the way and trailed 42-18 at intermission.
MU suffered its second straight loss to fall to 5-2.
The Cougars will visit Lebanon Valley, December 29.
