Jesse Robinson scored 20 points and
Kayla Sileo added a career-high 18 points to lead the Misericordia University women's basketball team to a 61-45 win over Wilkes, Wednesday night in the Anderson Center.
Christine Marks added a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Cougars.
Wilkes was led by Allison Walsh with 13 points and 11 rebounds and 11 points from Elena Stambone.
Walsh opened the second half with a layup to get Wilkes within 31-21 before Marks and Robinson combined for 16 points over the next four minutes to give MU a 47-25 lead.
Robinson started the spurt with a layup and Marks followed with a turnaround jumper.
Robinson's scoop shot off a drive made it 37-23 and Marks followed with two free throws.
Robinson put Misericordia ahead 42-25 with a three-pointer from the corner and she converted a steal into a layup and three-point play for a 45-25 lead with 15:58 to play.
After another Robinson layup, Sileo drained a three-pointer from the top of the key for a 50-26 lead with 13:21 to go.
McDaniel buried a three to give the Cougars their biggest lead of the night, 53-26, with 12:41 remaining.
Sileo had 12 first-half points as the Cougars took a 31-19 halftime lead despite shooting just 16.7% from three-point range.
Sileo buried a three-pointer to give the Cougars a 15-9 lead with 14:13 to play in the first half and
Lauren Smicherko scored four straight points, including a jumper inside the arc to beat the shot clock, to stretch it to 19-10.
Robinson drilled a three-pointer from the corner for a 22-10 advantage and McDaniel's trey made it 27-15 with 5:03 remaining.
The Cougars were stuck on 27 for five minutes until Sileo converted a steal into a three-point lead with 32 seconds left in the half.
Misericordia improved to 11-8 overall and 7-2 in the Freedom and will visit DeSales, Saturday. Wilkes fell to 5-15 and 0-9 and play Manhattanville, Saturday.
