The Misericordia University baseball team had its nine-game winning streak snapped with a 5-4 extra-inning loss at Neumann, Tuesday.
Neumann scored the game-winning run on a bases-loaded balk in the bottom of the 10th inning.
Kenny Durling led the Cougars with a two-run double and
Joe Tagliarini added a triple.
After Neumann took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning,
Matt Karabin worked six scoreless innings to allow MU to eventually take a 4-3 lead.
Durling's double ignited a three-run sixth that tied the score, 3-3.
Tagliarini tripled and scored on an error to give the Cougars a 4-3 lead in the eight, but the Knights tied with a solo homer in their half.
MU, 11-2, will host Gwynedd-Mercy, Saturday at Roosevelt Park in Swoyersville.
