Chris Tuttle helped propel the Misericordia baseball team to a 10-1 victory over conference opponent Delaware Valley, Sunday afternoon at Roosevelt Field.

Tuttle went 4-4 with two RBI and two runs and Ron Guido pitched seven innings allowing one run on five hits.

With Ryan Cacchioli on first and Andrew Tressa on second with one out in the bottom of the first, Kenny Durling ripped a double to right center to drive in both runs and take an early 2-0 lead.

In the second, with runners on first and second again, Dylan Mazzo hit a ball deep to left center to drive in Tuttle and Cacchioli and take a 4-0 lead after two innings of play.

In the bottom of the third, Durling led off with a double down the left field line.  Bubba Jasinski found the gap in left center to drive home Durling with an RBI triple.  Nate Hamlin grounded out to second to drive home Jasinski and go up by six after three.

The Aggies notched their only run in the top of the fourth, but MU answered with three runs in the bottom of the fifth.  With Jeff Slanovec on third after a stolen base and an errant pick off attempt, Tuttle singled to center and Joe Tagliarini doubled to left center to drive in Tuttle and make it 9-1 after five innings.

In the bottom of the sixth, Tuttle double to right center to plate Slanovec and wrap up the scoring at 10-1.

Mike Pena and Justin Shuleski both pitched one inning allowing one hit between the two.

The Cougars improved to 18-2 (6-0) and will be in action again when they travel to Bethlehem, PA to face Moravian on Tuesday.
