The Misericordia University softball team swept a doubleheader from Lycoming, 7-3, 7-4, Sunday afternoon at Anderson Field.

Mallory Getts had six hits and drove in seven runs and Caitlin Cromley picked up both wins on the mound as the Cougars won for the ninth time in 10 games to improve to 12-8.

Getts was 4-for-4 with a homer and four RBI as the Cougars took a 7-0 lead in the opener.  Mindy LaBarre added two hits.

Cromley scattered four hits and struck out six over 5.1 innings.

The Cougars rallied from a 3-0 deficit in the nightcap with a four-run fourth and added a pair of insurance runs in the sixth.

Cromley earned the win with 3.2 innings of relief work.

Amanda Polaha had three hits, including a solo homer, and Megan Hardy drove in three runs, including a homer.

Getts had two doubles and drove in three runs.

Misericordia will host Neumann, Thursday.
