The Misericordia University softball team split a doubleheader at FDU-Florham, Tuesday.
Kristi Seiler had a two-run double as the Cougars took the opener, 2-0, but FDU-Florham rallied for a 5-1 win in the nightcap.
Caitlin Cromley and
Shawnna Beil had hits in the opener and Cromley tossed a three-hitter to earn the win on the mound.
Mallory Getts reached on an error to open the game and advanced to third on Cromley's one-out single before Seiler drove in both with a double.
Seiler added two hits and an RBI in the nightcap and
Amanda Polaha,
Kat LaBrie,
Megan Hardy and
Jill Castaldi all had hits.
The Cougars took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first when Polaha ripped a one-out double and came home on Seiler's two-out single.
Misericordia, 15-9 (4-2), will host Wilkes, Thursday at 1:00 in a “Black & White” game which donations being collected for the Skin Care Foundation.
