The Misericordia University men's soccer battled to a 1-1 draw in double-overtime, Wednesday at Lebanon Valley.

After MU's Barry Fitzgerald saved a penalty kick early in the first half, Rob Wiacek gave MU a 1-0 lead with a goal at 19:43.

Wiacek ripped a shot into the upper right corner from 30 yards out.

The Cougars had several good scoring opportunities in the second half, including point blank shots by Josh Pfahl and Andy Bush, but LVC keeper James Clements was able to save both attempts.

Leb Val rallied to tie it at 81:54.

TJ Schaefer served a ball across the box in the first extra period, but two MU attackers were unable to connect.

Fitzgerald made eight saves for the Cougars.

MU, 5-4-1, will host FDU-Florham in their Freedom Conference opener, Saturday at 7:00.
