The Misericordia University men's soccer team will make its sixth consecutive Freedom Conference championships appearance when the Cougars host King's in the semifinals, Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Mangelsdorf Field.
Ticket prices are: $5 adults, $4 seniors, $2 students.
Misericordia, the two-time defending Freedom champion, is 13-5 overall and seeded second after finishing 5-2 in the Freedom during the regular season.
King's is seeded third after finishing 10-4-4 overall and 4-2-1 in the Freedom, including a 1-0 win over Misericordia.
Top-seeded Eastern will host FDU-Florham in the other semifinal with the winners meeting in the Freedom championship at the site of the highest remaining seed, Saturay.
Misericordia is led by
Nick vonEgypt who has 26 points (11g, 4a) while
Parker McArdle adds 10 points (4g, 2a).
Barry Fitzgerald is allowing .78 goals per game and has recorded 10 shutouts.
King's has five players with at least 10 points scored, including Niall Croke with 15 points (5g, 5a).
Andrew Tuminello and Daniel Hernandez add 14 points each on six goals and two assists.
Defensively, King's allowing 0.95 goals per game while goalkeeper Mark Labbadia has five shutouts with a 0.77 goals against average.
