Box Score The Misericordia University baseball team swept a doubleheader from Elizabethtown, 9-6, 16-7, at Diamond Nation in Flemington, NJ, Sunday.
In the opener,
Steve Sulcoski and
Julian Faria both had two hits, including their first homers in Misericordia uniforms and
Andrew Tressa added a pair of hits.
Evan Robaczewski picked up his second win of the season and
Justin Haddix tossed 1.1 innings of perfect relief to notch his second save.
In the nightcap, Sulcoski and
Kenny Durling both had two hits and drove in four runs and Tressa and
Paul Shepherd added two hits.
Kyle Lindsay added three RBI, including a two-run triple.
Matt Karabin worked five innings to earn the win and
Max Weintraub struck out the side in the ninth.
In the nightcap, the Cougars scored twice in the top of the third to take a 2-1 lead.
Paul Shepherd led off with a single and moved to second on Tressa's one-out walk.

The Cougars tacked on a run in the fourth when
Will Minderjahn drew a lead-off walk, stole second and came home on Tressa's two-out single to right.
MU scored six times in the fifth to make it 9-3. After three walks to open the inning,
Kyle Lindsay was hit by a pitch to force in a run and Shepherd followed with a sacrifice fly to left.
Chris Boroch was hit by a pitch to re-load the bases and Tressa drove in two runs with a single to center. Sulcoski closed out the scoring with a double to left center.
After E-Town rallied for three in the bottom of the seventh, the Cougars blew the game open with seven runs in the top of the ninth.
Lindsay scored on an error and Sulcoski drove in a run on a bases-loaded fielder's choice before Durling made it 14-7 with a three-run homer to left.
After a walk and a hit batter, Lindsay ripped a two-run triple to center in his second at-bat of the frame to give the Cougars a 16-7 lead.

Chris Boroch's two-out double. Tressa followed with single to right field to make it 2-0 and Sulcoski drilled a two-run homer to left.
Faria led off the fourth with a ground-rule double and scored on
Kyle Lindsay's single through the right side. Lindsay advanced to third on a pair of Blue Jays errors before coming home on Tressa's infield single to make it 6-0.
MU made it 8-0 in the fifth when
Bubba Jasinski ripped a triple to right center and Faria followed with a two-run blast to left field.
After Elizabethtown rallied for four runs in the top of the sixth, the Cougars answered with a run in the bottom half when Tressa drew a two-out walk, stole second and scored on Sulcoski's single to left center.
Robaczewski struck out four while scattering seven hits and
Ron Guido worked two innings before Haddix came on to close things out.
