The Cougars beat Emerson, 11-2, and knocked off Adrian, 6-2, in the nightcap.

In the opener, Kristi Seiler had four hits and drove in two runs and Kat LaBrie added three hits.

Mallory Getts, Whitney Ellenberg, Cait Cromley and Shawna Beil all had two hits and Melissa Parker had a three-run double in the sixth inning.

Getts and Ellenberg both added doubles while Beil had a triple.

Jess Armillay scattered five hits over 6.1 innings to earn the win.

Ellenberg and Seiler both had doubles in the nightcap to make a winner of Cromley, who fanned six and scattered five hits while going the distance.

MU, 2-2, will John Carroll and Thiel, Wednesday.
