Gwynedd-Mercy rallied for an 8-6 non-conference baseball win over Misericordia University, Tuesday in Gwynedd Valley.
Andrew Tressa,
Kenny Durling and
Bubba Jasinski all had two hits to account for MU's offense.
Tressa had two RBI and
Kyle Lindsay scored a pair of runs.
The Cougars used a three-run sixth inning rally to take a 5-4 lead, but the Griffins scored twice in the seventh and eighth innings for winning margin.
Misericordia took a 2-0 lead in the top of first when Lindsay and Sulcoski walked before Durling doubled down the right field line.
After a walk to
Ryan Cacchioli loaded the bases,
Miles Westrich was hit by a pitch to force in a run.
The Griffins tied it their half of the first and took a 4-2 lead with single runs in the third and fifth innings.
In the sixth, Westrich reached via hit by pitch with one out and moved to second on Jasinski's single up the middle.
Westrich scored when Lindsay reached on an error and Tressa put MU ahead, 5-4, with a two-run single up the middle.
Gwynedd-Mercy went ahead 6-5 with a pair of runs in the seventh and the Cougars tied it in the top of the eighth.
Jasinski reached on an error to lead of the inning and pinch-runner Michael Comerford eventually scored when Lindsay reached on an error the second time.
GMC used two walks, two wild pitches and a two-out double to plate a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth and break a 6-6 tie.
The Cougars had the potential tying runs on base in the top of the ninth inning, but were unable to drive them home.
Misericordia, 15-5, will travel to Scranton, Thursday.
