Parker McArdle broke a 1-1 tie with less than five minutes to play to lift the Misericordia University men's soccer team to a 2-1 win at Ursinus in the season opener, Friday.
McArdle's game-winner came off a service from freshman George Stock.
T.J. Schaefer gave MU a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick early in the second half after the Bears committed a foul in the box on the third of three straight MU corner kicks.
The Bears took advantage of an MU foul to tie the score, 1-1, less than four minutes later at 60:16.
McArdle made a great run to bury Stock's service into the lower left corner of the net.
Misericordia held a 12-8 edge in shots and had a 6-4 advantage in corners.
Barry Fitzgerald made two saves in goal for MU.
Misericordia will host Dickinson, Sunday at 2:00.
