Box Score The Misericordia University men's soccer team controlled the ball for most of the first half, scoring three times in the opening stanza of a resounding 4-0 victory over Baptist Bible College on Saturday night at Mangelsdorf Field.

The win moves the Cougars to 3-1 overall while the loss drops the Defenders to 1-2.

The Cougars applied plenty of pressure in the first 45 minutes, putting up 19 shots, eight of which were on goal.

Misericordia didn't take long to grab the lead, scoring at 3:49 when junior Nick vonEgypt received a long pass from senior David Stoner. They quickly added to the lead when freshman David Malaquias registered his first Cougar goal off an assist from Chris Panagacos.

Freshman George Stock also scored his first collegiate goal prior to the end of the half after receiving a helper from sophomore Derek Antonini.

The Defenders mustered just two shots in the first half against starting goalkeeper Barry Fitzgerald and only totaled three for the game. Misericordia registered 31.

With the first of his career out of the way, Malaquias quickly picked up goal number two, putting one in the back of the net just one minute into the second half, off another assist from Panagacos.

The Cougars are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Susquehanna.
