Box Score Niko Amity had a goal and an assist to lift the Misericordia University men's soccer team to a 3-0 win at Delaware Valley, Saturday afternoon.

Nate Mansfield and David Malaquias added goals as the Cougars improved to 8-4-2 overall and 2-0 in the Freedom Conference.

The Cougars held a 28-4 advantage in shots, including 14 on goal, while Barry Fitzgerald stopped the only shot he faced on goal for the shutout.

Malaquias put the Cougars ahead with just over five minutes remaining in the first half.  Tim Ryan headed a corner from Trey Ziegler and Malaquias put it away for a 1-0 lead at 39:50.

Early in the second half, Amity gathered a ball on the left flank, cut to his right and served a ball to Mansfield whose diving header made it 2-0 at 53:55.

Colin Snyder found Amity in the same spot four minutes later and Amity placed a shot inside the far post for a 3-0 lead at 57:46.

Misericordia will host Eastern, Tuesday at 7:00.
