Two nationally-ranked women's soccer teams will meet when #15 Misericordia University hosts #17 Ithaca College, Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Mangelsdorf Field.
Misericordia, 14-2, is ranked fourth in the Mid-Atlantic Region while Ithaca, 13-2, is second in the second in the East Region.
The teams have met six times since 2009, including the 2012 NCAA Tournament where Misericordia advanced to the Final Four with a 6-5 win in sudden-death penalty kicks.
"We are excited to have the opportunity to take on another top 20 team in the country," said Misericordia head coach
Mark Stauffer. "We look for it to be a good quality match as we continue to prepare for what we will see in the national tournament."
Misericordia is allowing just 0.31 goals per game and has outscored its opponents, 51-5, while Ithaca has scored 24 goals while allowing just four and is allowing just 0.40 goals per game.

Megan Mahoney (11g, 9a) leads the Cougars in scoring with 31 points while
Meghan Antrim (14g, 1a) adds 29 points.

Erin McGreal (6g, 5a) and first-year
Amber Hartranft (6g, 3a) add 17 and 15 points, respectively.
Jacqueline Stevens (5g, 2a) has 12 points and junior
Kylen Smith is tied with Mahoney for the team lead with nine assists.
Junior
Maureen Ciccosanti has posted six shutouts with an 88.6 save percentage.
Ithaca, the top seed in the upcoming Empire 8 championships, is led Kelsey King (11g, 5a) with 27 points.
Sarah Woychick (5g, 2a) has 12 points and Holly Niemiec (2g, 7a) leads the team in assists.
In goal, Beth Coppolecchia has nine shutouts and an 88.2 save percentage.
Misericordia and Ithaca have faced two common opponents this season with both teams shutting out Cortland and Stockton.
MU beat Cortland, 2-0, and Stockton, 3-0, while Ithaca won both games, 1-0.
