Box Score Emily Hegner scored the game's only goal as the Misericordia University field hockey advanced to the semifinals of ECAC Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships with a 1-0 win at Alvernia, Wednesday.

Jenn O'Neill's shot hit the post and Hegner knocked in the rebound with less than a minute to play in the first half.

Angela Pasquini made 11 saves to earn the shutout.

Hegner and Kelli Mickowski both had defensive saves in the second half.

The Cougars improved to 14-8 and will face Arcadia in Saturday's semifinal.
