Box Score Anthony LoBello and two relievers combined on a six-hit shutout to lead the Misericordia University baseball team to a 9-0 win over Lebanon Valley, Wednesday in Fort Pierce, Florida.
LoBello struck out two and allowed three hits over six innings to earn his first career victory.Â
Dillon DelRosso worked two shutout innings and
Shane McGraw pitched a scoreless ninth.
Kyle Lindsay had two hits and two RBI and
Chris Boroch added two hits and three runs scored.
MU took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Boroch drew a lead off walk, moved up on a passed ball, went to third on an error and scored on groundout.
The Cougars made it 3-0 in the third.Â
Al Reda walked and Boroch singled to left before
Jeremy DeCotiis' bunt single to load bases. Lindsay drew a walk to force in a run and
Mike Comerford followed with a sacrifice fly.
Misericordia broke the game open with a six-run seventh.
Reda singled to left and Boroch and Lindsay followed with back-to-back bunt singles to make it 4-0.
Comerford walked and stole second with Lindsay coming home on the throw to second.
Mile Westrich,
Ryan Cacchioli and
Nick Hair followed with consecutive RBI-doubles to give the Cougars a 9-0 lead.
Misericordia, 3-2, will play LaRoche and Keystone, Thursday.
