Box Score The Misericordia University baseball team picked up a 5-1 win over Freedom Conference foe, Delaware Valley, in a rain shortened game at Tambur Field on Friday afternoon.

Nick Hair, Mike Comerford, Kyle Seawards and Jeremy DeCotiis all drove in a run while Kyle Lindsay finished the game 2-3 with a double.

Ryan Dorosh was terrific on the hill, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out 10 in just five innings of work.

The Cougars jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the home half of the first. MU picked up their first run when Boroch scored from third on a throwing error by the Aggies. Comerford then roped an RBI single to right and Seawards sent an RBI single through the left side of the infield, completing the three-run first for the Cougars.

MU added another run in the second when DeCotiis scored from third on a ground ball to second off the bat of Nick Hair. The Cougars capped their scoring in the home half of the third as Max German trotted in from third when a pitch hit DeCotiis with the bases loaded.

Delaware Valley's lone run of the game came on a Brandon Bell home run to left field. However, the Cougars held the 5-1 advantage when the game was called due to rain.

With the win, MU improves to 16-9-1 overall and 10-3 in the Freedom Conference. The Aggies fall to 9-9 and 3-7 in the conference.
