Box Score The Misericordia University baseball team defeated the University of Scranton in convincing fashion, 17-7, Sunday evening at PNC Field in Moosic.
Max German led the Cougar's explosive offense, going 3-4 while driving in four runs.
Jeremy DeCotiis finished the day 2-3 with three RBI while
Chris Boroch and
Mike Comerford drove in two runs.

Bryce Frankenfield,
Julian Faria, Comerford, German, Lindsay, DeCotiis and Boroch all had multi-hit days in the Cougar's victory.
Shane McGraw picked up the win for MU, tossing five innings allowing just one earned run and striking out two to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Brett Davis tossed two shutout innings, allowing just two hits in relief for the Cougars.
MU wasted no time getting out to an early 1-0 lead as German found the right field line for his first RBI single of the game. The Royals answered with a run of their own in the home half tying the game at 1-1.
The Cougar's offense exploded for five more runs in the second to take a 6-1 lead. Boroch sparked the rally in the second with a two-RBI double down the left field line. DeCotiis followed with an RBI single and German followed with a two-RBI single to left to cap the MU scoring in the second.
The Royals picked up two runs in the third tightening the Cougar's lead to just 5-3. However, MU extended its lead to 7-3 with two more runs in the fourth when
Joe Tagliarini sent a sacrifice fly to right field and Comerford scored on a fielding error.
The Cougars opened the floodgates with eight runs in the fifth. German started the rally with an RBI single to left and Comerford followed with a two-RBI double down the left field line. Faria chipped in with an RBI single while DeCotiis ripped a two-RBI single down the left field line and Boroch scored from third on a balk to give the Cougars a 16-3 lead heading into the home half of the fifth.
Frankenfield brought home the final MU run of the game with an RBI single to centerfield, giving MU a 17-4 lead after 6 ½ innings.
The Royals offense had its best inning offensively in the home half of the seventh, plating three runs and coming within 17-7.
However, it was too little too late as Davis slammed the door on the Royals offense, securing the 17-7 victory for the Cougars.
With the win, MU moves to 14-8 overall while the Royals fall to 7-8. The Cougars return to action, Tuesday afternoon as they host Gwynedd-Mercy College at Tambur Field with a scheduled 3:30 first pitch.
