Box Score Ryan Dorosh proved worthy of the Freedom Pitcher of the Year honor with a complete game, two-hit, shutout leading the Cougars to a 3-0 victory over FDU-Florham in the opening round of the Freedom Conference Championships at Owls Field in West Lawn, PA
The Cougars offense jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the home half of the first.
Chris Boroch drew a walk and advanced to second on a perfect bunt down the first base line by
Nick Hair, which gave MU runners on first and second with nobody out. Both Boroch and Hair advanced on a wild pitch and then scored when
Max German laced an RBI triple to the left-centerfield gap.
German added an RBI bloop single to right, scoring Hair from second and giving the Cougars a 3-0 lead after three innings of play.
Neither team plated a run in the final six innings and the Cougars emerged with a 3-0 victory.

Dorosh's improved to 9-0 on the season and his eight strikeouts in tonight's win over FDU-Florham broke the single-season MU record, as well as the MU career record for strikeouts.
The Cougars move on to face Manhattanville College on Saturday afternoon at 3:00.
