Box Score The Misericordia University baseball team fell 8-2 to Manhattanville College in the second round of the Freedom Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon in West Lawn, PA.
 
With the loss the Cougars will play DeSales University tonight at 7:30 in an elimination game. With a win against the Bulldogs MU would earn a rematch with the Valiants Sunday afternoon at 12:00. The Cougars must beat Manhattanville twice to earn their fourth straight Freedom Conference Championship.
 
Despite ultimately losing the game, the Cougars did strike first when Max German came around to score on a Manhattanville throwing error in the home half of the third.
 
The Valiants offense then scored two run in the fourth, sixth, seventh and eighth innings to claimn an 8-1 lead.
 
German chipped in with an RBI single in the ninth, but the Valiants prevailed with the 8-2 victory.
 
Kyle Lindsay had two hits while Mike Comerford, Kyle Seawards, Al Reda, Joe Tagliarini and German all had a hit for MU. Chris Boroch drew three walks for the Cougars.
