5/4/2014 5:48:00 PM

Box Score Ryan Dorosh (10-0) tied the school record for wins in a season and Shane McGraw picked up his first career save as the Misericordia University baseball team kept its season alive with a 4-3, extra-inning win over Manhattanville, Sunday afternoon in the Freedom Conference championships.

The Cougars forced the 'if-necessary' game as they attempt to win their fourth consecutive Freedom Conference championship.

The Cougars scored the winning run on a squeeze bunt in the top of the 13th inning.

After Cory Vogeli tossed four innings of relief, Dorosh came on in the bottom of the ninth with MU clinging to a 3-2 lead.  Despite allowing one of the two inherited two runners to score, Dorosh escaped further damage to force extra innings.

Dorosh struck out five over four innings before giving way to McGraw who struck out one in a scoreless 13th.

Kyle Lindsay and Max German accounted for most of the MU offense with three hits each while German and Comerford both drove in two runs.

Nick Hair started the game-winning rally with a lead-off walk and moved to second on Lindsay's sacrifice bunt.  Hair advanced to third on German's single to right and came home on Comerford's squeeze bunt.

The Cougars grabbed a 2-0 lead with a two-out rally in the top of the first.  Lindsay singled through the left side and moved to second on a wild pitch.  German singled through the same hole and advanced on a wild pitch.

Comerford followed with a double to center field to make it 2-0.

After Manhattanville tied it with runs in each of the first two innings, the Cougars went back in front in the fifth.

Hair led off the frame with a walk and raced to third on Lindsay's single to left.  Following a pitching change, German put the Cougars ahead with a sacrifice fly to right field and the 3-2 score stood until the bottom of the ninth.
