Box Score Despite an early goal and a solid effort in goal from Angela Pasquini, the Misericordia University field hockey team dropped a 5-1 decision at #8 Montclair State, Saturday.

Colby Eldridge scored unassisted in the opening two minutes to give the Cougars an early 1-0 lead.

Pasquini made 18 saves in goal for the Cougars.

The lead held for 17 minutes until the Red Hawks got on the board at 18:43.

Montclair took a 2-1 lead 10 minutes later and added an insurance goal four minutes into the second half.

The Red Hawks sealed the game with a pair of goals in a four-minute span with less than 10 minutes to play.

The Cougars will host Scranton, Wednesday at 7:00 at Mangelsdorf Field.
