Box Score Chris Panagacos and Nick vonEgypt scored goals to lead the Misericordia University men's soccer team to a 2-0 win at Lebanon Valley, Wednesday.

Panagacos scored unassisted late in the first half and vonEgypt added a second-half insurance goal off a feed from Christopher Edkins.

Barry Fitzgerald made six saves for the Cougars, who improved to 5-2-2.

Misericordia played a ball into the box off a re-start and Panagacos collected a loose ball and found the back of the net with a low hard shot from 18 yards out at 34:57.

The score stood until the closing minutes when Edkins carried the down the middle and played wide to vonEgypt who beat the Dutchmen keeper one-v-one for a 2-0 lead at 84:33.

The Cougars held a 12-8 edge in shots and had a 6-3 advantage in corners.

Fitzgerald got help from MU's back four of Dante Ippolito, Hunter Kaysa, Kevin Matlon and Colin Snyder.

MU will host defending national champion Messiah, Saturday at 1:00.
