Box Score Megan Yeager scored her first career goal to lift the Misericordia University field hockey team to a 3-1 win at FDU-Florham in the Freedom Conference opener for both teams, Sunday.
 
Hannah Harvey and Jennifer O'Neill added goals for the Cougars while Colby Eldridge and Emily Hegner had assists.
 
Angela Pasquini made eight saves in goal as the Cougars improved to 4-5.
 
Yeager scored on a stroke with just over six minutes remaining in the first half to the Cougars a 1-0 lead.
 
After the Devils tied it early in the second half, Harvey scored off a corner with a feed from Eldridge at 48:31.
 
The Devils nearly tied it at 52:37, but Megan Meckling made a defensive save and O'Neill tipped in a shot from Hegner at the other end for an insurance goal just 30 seconds later.
 
Misericordia, 4-5, will travel to Lebanon Valley for a non-conference game, Tuesday night.
