The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team used a dominating offensive attack and a suffocating defense to cruise to a 25-6 victory Wednesday afternoon at Neumann.

Lane Kocovsky led the relentless offensive attack with five goals and one assist while
Andrew Reynolds followed with four goals and two assists.
Chris Fleming added four goals and
Brandon Winslow scored three goals while
Philip Caltagrione and
Jake Kocovsky finished with two goals each.
Patrick Kellish and
Nick Kenna chipped in with one goal each.

Jake Kocovsky and Caltagrione,
Michael Iglio,
Philip Fraher and
Kyle Reese all scored their first collegiate goals in the Cougars' victory.

Patrick Johnson was terrific, collecting nine saves in the first quarter.

MU dominated from start to finish, outshooting Neumann 68-28 while also holding a 76-39 advantage in ground balls. The Cougars also held a convincing 24-11 advantage in faceoffs.

The Cougars opened the game on 10-0 run over the first 15 minutes and extended their lead to as many as 19-0 midway through the third, putting the game out of reach for the Knights.

Neumann scored all six of their goals in the final 23 minutes of the game.

With the win, MU improves to 1-2 while Neumann falls to 0-3.

The Cougars return to action Saturday afternoon at 1:00 at Mangelsdorf Field against Immaculata University.
