Pat Kellish Ties School Goals Record in Win Over Immaculata

Box Score The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team used another big offensive output to beat Immaculata, 23-6, Saturday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.

Pat Kellish tied the school record with eight goals and added three assists to lead the attack while Lane Kocovsky and Brandon Winslow added three goals each.

Trevor Bodnar, Andrew Reynolds and Nick Kenna all scored twice and James Pedersen scored his first collegiate goal.

Pat Johnson and three others combined for eight saves in goal.

Misericordia scored 12 goals in the second quarter to break the game open.

Reynolds gave the Cougars a quick lead with a goal off the opening face-off just seven seconds into the game.

Immaculata tied it with 5:21 to go in the first period, but the Cougars started a string of 19 unanswered goals to take a 5-1 lead after the first period.

Kellish finished a nice feed from Bodnar near the left post to put MU back in front and Bodnar and Kellish added unassisted goals in a 30-second span for a 4-1 lead.  Lane Kocovsky ripped a shot inside the left post to close the first period scoring.

MU scored four man-up penalties to open the second quarter and stretch the lead to 9-1.

Kellish and Kocovsky both scored twice in a six-minute span to put MU ahead, 14-1.

Kellish tallied twice more to close out the first half.

MU 2-2, will visit Wesley, Wednesday.
