The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team couldn't overcome Arcadia's strong second half, falling 18-11 to the Knights on Sunday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.

Liz Mulvey led the Cougars' offense with four goals and one assist while
Brooke North picked up two goals, including her 100
th career goal.
Melina Juliano added one goal and two assists while
Alexandra Elmes,
Erin Baker and
Olivia Garcia added one goal each.
Katie McLoughlin had 12 saves in the loss.

Juliano led MU with eight ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Emily Hegner added four ground balls while
Taylor Simeone and Elmes chipped in with three ground balls each.
Nathalie Ruiz caused two turnovers for the Cougars.

Despite losing the game, MU did strike first when Mulvey took a feed from Baker and fired it into the top right corner of the net to give the Cougars the early lead.

Erin Misner tied the game at 1-1 with her first goal of the game for the Knights with 22 minutes left.

North picked up her 100
th career goal and gave the Cougars a 2-1 lead with 21:02 left in the first half, finishing Mulvey's feed from behind the net.

Arcadia came roaring back with four straight goals to take a 4-2 lead.

Elmes cut the Knights' lead to one with eight minutes left in the first half with her first goal of the game.

Garcia and Juliano added goals to tie the game at 5-5 with 2:41 left in the half.

The Knights closed the half on a 3-0 run to take an 8-5 lead at the half.

Arcadia kept the momentum in the second half, outscoring the Cougars' 10-6 in the second half to capture the 18-11 victory.

With the loss, MU falls to 2-5 while Arcadia improves to 7-1 on the season.

The Cougars return to action Wednesday night at 7:00 against Lycoming College.
