Chris Boroch led the Cougars' offense with three hits, including two doubles, while
Nick Hair drove in three runs.
Kyle Lindsay picked up two hits and two RBI while
Steve Cuccio and
Alec Iurato added one hit and one RBI each in the victory.

Ryan Dorosh picked up his second victory of the season, allowing just one earned run while striking out four over five innings of work.
Tim Burek added two scoreless innings of relief with four strikeouts while
Garrett Pelko tossed a perfect eighth.

MU scored all of its runs in the first two innings, picking up five runs in the first and then eight more in the second.

The Cougars' first two runs came on an error and Navoczynski capitalized with an RBI single through the left side to make it a 3-0 game.

MU picked up two more runs when Navoczynski and Iurato executed the double steal with runners on first and third. Iurato then scored on the throwing error, capping the five run first inning.

MU really opened the floodgates in the second. Hair roped a two-run double and Lindsay followed with an RBI single to right field. Cuccio and Iurato added back-to-back RBI singles, extending the lead to 11-0.

Reda and Hair brought two more runs home after being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Lindsey drove in the final run, capping the scoring in the 13-0 victory.

With the win, MU improves to 9-1, while Alvernia falls to 6-3.

The Cougars are scheduled to open Freedom Conference play Friday afternoon at 3:30 against FDU-Florham at Tambur Field.
