The Misericordia University offense was firing on all cylinders while
Tim Burek picked up his second win of the season in a 29-0 victory over Martin Luther College on Friday afternoon.
Cole Bixler led the Cougars offense, driving in four runs while
D.J. Navoczynski,
Evan Bush and
Ben Ciraolo all homered in the win.
Brian Eshleman,
Connor Rittenhouse,
Michael Blazaskie,
Alec Iurato, Bixler, Bush and Navoczynski all had multi-RBI games. MU ammased 26 hits with a total of 14 different players reaching base in the win.
The right-hander surrended just one hit and struk out seven over four innings on the bump.
Elliot Forde,
Alec Gibbons and
Jacob Stone added scoreless innings in relief for the Cougars.
Misericordia Head coach
Pete Egbert also picked up his 200th win as head coach of the Cougars.
The Cougars set the tone early, jumping out to a 4-0 lead in the first.
MU really put the game out of reach with a 12-run fourth and a nine-run bottom of the sixth.
The Cougars improve to 6-1 with a victory in the Florida finale.
MU returns to action Monday at Stevens Tech.
