The Misericordia University baseball team dropped a tough, 2-0, decision to Stevens Institute of Technology on Sunday afternoon at Tambur Field.

Kyle Lindsay led the Cougars with two hits while
Mike Comerford and
Nick Hair added base hits in the loss.

Garrett Pelko was credited with the loss, but allowed just one run while striking out five over 5.1 innings on the mound.
Jake Kurtz allowed one run, while striking out five in the final 3.2 innings.

The Cougars best chance of the day came in the bottom of the third when
Jeremy DeCotiis was hit by a pitch to start the inning. Lindsay then bunted him over to second and he then took third on a Comerford ground ball to the right side. However, the Ducks got out of the jam, stranding DeCotiis at third.

With the loss, MU falls to 17-5. Stevens improves to 15-9 with the win.

MU returns to action Monday afternoon at Delaware Valley. First pitch is slated for 3:30 in Doylestown.
