Shannon Croasdale added 10 points and Rachel Carmody had nine points and a team-high eight rebounds.
Eastern closed the third quarter on an 8-0 run to take the lead and went up 57-46 on a three-pointer to open the fourth quarter.
Seely scored 18 of Misericordia's last 19 points in the fourth quarter, including six straight to pull within 57-52 with 7:31 to play.
Seely's layup cut the margin to 62-61 with 1:22 remaining, but Eastern converted eight free throws in the final minute to seal the win.
Eastern scored the first six points of the game, but Carmody's layup capped a 9-0 run to give MU a 13-10 lead with 4:19 left in the first quarter.
Croasdale hit a three-pointer and Carmody and Japriya Carroll add buckets in a 7-0 spurt to stretch Misericordia's lead to 30-22 early in the second quarter.
Leanne Forsyth made two free throws at the end of the second quarter to give MU a 36-34 halftime lead.
Tied 42-42, Liz Waleski sank two free throws to give the Cougars their last lead, 44-42, with 3:57 left in the third quarter.
Trailing 46-44, Forsyth's layup tied it with 2:18 to go, but Eastern scored eight straight points to end the period.
The Cougars, 6-11 (2-4) will host Delaware Valley, Wednesday at 6:00.
