The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team lost in overtime to Kean, 11-10, Thursday evening in Georgetown, Texas.
Chris Fleming scored three goals,
Lane Kocovsky found the back of the net twice and added an assist while
Philip Fraher tallied a goal and two assists.
Kyle Reese scored two goals, Pat Kellish notched two assists and a goal while Jake Kocovksy netted once while
Michael Iglio dished one assist.
Josh Shanker made 16 saves in net for Misericordia.
Jake Kocovsky and Pat Newins had six ground balls each and caused one turnover apiece while
Eric Dittmeier and Fleming each caused two turnovers.
Fleming scored off a pass from Fraher six minutes into the game, followed by goals with Fraher and another Fleming goal to give MU a 3-0 lead in the opening 12 minutes.
Kean scored with seven seconds left in the first to make it 3-1 as the horn sounded.
MU got four goals in the second from Kellish, Lane Kocovksy, Reese and Fleming while Kean scored one goal a man up to make it 7-2 Misericordia heading into the half.
Jake Kocovsky scored an unassisted goal to give MU an 8-2 lead in the first two minutes of the third quarter, but Kean rallied from there.
Kean scored three times in less than two minutes to make it 8-5, and then MU got another Reese goal while Kean got one more to make 9-6 heading to the forth.
Kean scored 11 seconds into the fourth, and then again two minutes later to make it 9-8 with 12:48 to go in the game.
Lane Kocovksy scored off a feed from Iglio to net MU's last goal.
Kean scored with 2:18 seconds left in the game to cut the Misericordia lead to one, and then scored the game-tying goal with 14 seconds to go.
Kean scored the game-winner with 2:19 on the clock.
MU is now 2-1 on the year, and returns to friendly confines of Dallas, PA to host Wesley, Tuesday at 5:00.Â
