Pat Kellish tied his own school record with eight goals to lead the Misericordia University men's lacrosse team to a convincing 25-7 win over Wesley, Tuesday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.

Lane Kocovsky had four goals and
Chris Fleming and
Jake Kocovsky both added three goals.

Eleven different players scored for the Cougars who improved to 3-1.

Josh Shanker made five saves to earn the win in goal.

Fleming had a team-high six groundballs and
Michael Iglio and
Michael Farinaro both had five.Â
Ryan Cannon, Pat Newins,
John Tierney and Matt Beck all had four groundballs.

Farinaro and Tierney both had three caused turnovers.

Iglio gave the Cougars the lead in the opening minute and MU took a 4-0 lead less than four minutes into the game.

Wesley pulled within 5-3 late in the first period, but the Cougars answered with eight straight goals to take a 14-3 halftime lead.

Kellish ripped a shot under the bar from the top of the circle to make it 11-3 and Fleming used a nice spin from the left baseline for a 12-3 lead.

Kyle Reese fed a pass through the crease to
Lane Kocovsky on the left post for a 13-3 lead and Newins scored unassisted to close the first half scoring.

Jake Kocovsky scooped up a groundball off the opening faceoff of the third quarter and raced down the right wing to give the Cougars a 15-3 lead.

The Cougars stretched the lead to 20-3 before the Wolverines scored with 6:07 left in the third quarter.
