The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team opened its MAC Freedom schedule with a 15-2 win over Manhattanville, Sunday at Mangelsdorf Field.
 
Senior Erin Baker had six goals and an assist and classmate Allie Elmes added three goals on Senior Appreciation Day.  Lindsay McKim scored two goals and Olivia Garcia, Liz Mulvey, Cara Spector and Megan Peace all added one goal each.
 
Katie McLoughlin made two saves to earn the win and Jenn Gazdick had one stop in the final five minutes.
 
Baker had three ground balls, three caused turnovers and three draw controls.  Rachael Taylor had a team-high four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
 
Elmes and McKim added three draw controls.
 
Manhattanville took an early lead, but the Cougars responded with five straight goals to take a 5-1 lead with 8:42 left in the first half.
 
After a Manhattanville goal, the MU scored three goals over the final 3:04 to take an 8-2 halftime lead.
 
The Cougars are 4-6 overall and will host Marywood, Thursday at 4:00.
