The Misericordia baseball team lost to Delaware Valley, 6-4, Friday afternoon at Tambur Field.

D.J. Navoczynski went 2-5 with a double, RBI and two runs scored;
Mike Comerford was 2-4 with a double and two RBI while
Jeremy DeCotiis went 3-4 with a run scored.

Kyle Lindsay was 1-3 with two walks and a run scored while
Chris Boroch was 2-5 with a stolen base.
Delaware Valley jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first two innings. The Aggies tacked on another run in the fifth before MU scored their first run in the bottom of the sixth.

After the first two batters were retired, Navoczynski slapped a single up the middle. Comerford followed with a double which bounced off the wall in center that plated Navoczynski.

Delaware Valley got one more run in the eighth, but Misericordia responded with two runs of their own.

Lindsay hit a leadoff single to center and
Kenny Jarema walked. The Aggies brought in another pitcher who got the next batter to ground into a double play and got Lindsay to third. Navoczynski knocked a double down the left field line which scored Lindsay. Comerford singled home Navoczynski.

Delaware Valley struck again in the top of the ninth which left MU down three heading into the bottom of the ninth.

The Cougars had the bases loaded with two outs, but the Aggies induced a fly out to center.

Al Reda had a good day behind the plate and threw out two would-be base runners.

The loss drops MU to 17-8, 8-3 in the MAC Freedom.

The Cougars head to Delaware Valley to conclude the series, first pitch is at 12:00.Â
