Rutgers-Camden scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat Misericordia University, 10-5, in non-conference baseball action, Sunday.
D.J. Navoczynski had three and two RBI for the Cougars while
Alec Iurato had a double and drove in a run.
Mike Turton struck out five and allowed just one earned run while scattering seven hits over 6.1 innings.
Down 2-0, the Cougars tied the score with runs in the fourth and sixth innings.
Kyle Lindsay led off the fourth with a single to right and scored on Navoczynski's two-out single through the left side.
The Cougars drew three consecutive walks to load the bases in the sixth, but managed just one run on a sacrifice fly by
Jeremy DeCotiis.
RUC went back in front with three runs in the bottom of the seventh, but the Cougars responded with three of their own to tie the score again.
Jarema walked and scored on Iurato's double down the left field line. After a wild pitch, Iurato came home on an infield single by Navoczynski who eventually scored on a squeeze bunt by
Miles Westrich.
Rutgers-Camden put together four hits and took advantage of two MU errors to score five times in the eighth.
Misericordia will host Keystone, Tuesday at 3:30.
