The Misericordia University volleyball team split a tri-match with St. Joseph's and Western Connecticut State, Saturday on Long Island.
The Cougars beat St. Joe's, 3-1 (26-24, 25-18, 23-25, 25-15) in the opener before falling to Western Connecticut State, 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-19).
In the opener,
Sarah Pool led MU with 10 kills, three aces and 21 digs while
Tara Welliver added eight kills and two aces.
Ariana Gagliardi had 21 assists and
Karley May added 18.
In the nightcap,
Michelle Sehested led the Cougars with eight kills and Welliver added five.
The Cougars return to MAC Freedom action when they travel to FDU-Florham, Tuesday.
