The Misericordia men's soccer team fell 4-0 to FDU-Florham, Saturday morning in a contest between the two teams fighting for the fourth and final spot in the MAC Freedom tournament.

The Cougars outshot the Devils 14-12 and had a 6-3 edge in corner kicks, but FDU had a 7-5 advantage in shots on goal.

After the opening whistle, the game remained scoreless for the first 25 minutes until FDU grabbed the lead on a goal by Ricky La Stella.

Misericordia had some chances to equalize, with one of its best chances coming in the 41^st minute as Levi Roberts got a shot on goal, but it was saved.

In the first half, the Cougars earned five corner kicks, but were unable to find the back of the net.

Early in the second half, the Devils doubled their lead on a goal by Justin Barbosa, who was able to score after the Cougars were unable to clear the ball.

Misericordia had a couple of chances to get back in the game shortly after the goal, but shots by Niko Amity and Evan Brown were off target.

Brown had another chance in the 63^rd minute, but his shot was saved. The ensuing corner kick led to a shot by Roberts, but again it went wide.
