The Misericordia men's soccer team dropped a hard-fought non-conference match to Dickinson, 5-0, Tuesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.
Both teams had 13 shots, but the Red Devils made the most of their opportunities as they scored on five of their seven shots on goal while the Cougars had four shots carom off the crossbar or post.
The Red Devils (7-3-1) scored just eight minutes into the game on a deflection added two more goals in the first half and 3-0 at the break.
Misericordia came out much stronger in the second half and had three great scoring chances in the first five minutes, but were unable to break through.
Niko Amity hit the crossbar,
John Caracappa had a shot go just wide of the net and
Nick Szczerba hit the post.
Amity had two more dangerous opportunities, but he hit the crossbar in the 64
th minute and hit the post 79
th minute.
Dickinson added two goals in the second half, both coming on free kicks.
Misericordia will host DeSales, Saturday at 7:30 as part of Homecoming Weekend.
