Quintessa Zamolyi scored a team-high 16 points as the Misericordia University women's basketball team picked up its first win of the season, 77-28, over Bryn Athyn College in the first round of the Neumann Tip Off Classic.
Paige Wampole added 10 points and five rebounds and Jordan Berth had nine points and a team-high six rebounds.
Kalynn Sefcik had eight points and five assist as 14 different players scored for MU.
Rachel Carmody added six points, six rebounds and four steals.
The Cougars raced out to a 24-6 lead after one quarter and led 53-12 at halftime.
Tied 4-4, Jackie Hajec ignited a 15-4 run with a three-pointer and Jordan Barth converted a three-point to end the spurt with Misericordia up 19-4 with 1:01 left in the first quarter.
MU, 1-1, will face Neumann in the championship game Sunday at 2:00.
