The Misericordia men's basketball team fell to Rosemont College, 72-66, Tuesday night at the Anderson Center. The Cougars drop to 2-2 on the season while the Ravens improve to 3-1.

Stone McCreary led the Cougars with 18 points on six three pointers. Jason Kenny added 17 points and Noah Rivera chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds.

Rosemont jumped out to a 33-14 lead in the first half, shooting 56.3% from behind the arc. McCreary was able to get the Cougars back into the game hitting four threes in the first half to help cut the deficit to 11 at the break.

In the second half, the Cougars picked up their defensive intensity and went on 17-6 run culminating with back-to-back threes by Alec Rodway and McCreary to pull within two at 46-44 with 13:52 remaining in the game.

The Ravens started to separate themselves again, but two free throws by Rivera brought the Cougars back within two with 7:49 left. However, Rosemont went on 9-0 run right after that to pull away. Misericordia was able to cut the deficit to four, but that was as close as they would get the rest of the way.

The Cougars will travel to #25 Swarthmore, Sunday at 3:00.
