The Swarthmore men's basketball team used a 15-0 midway through the second half to break open a close game on the way to a 93-75 win over Misericordia University, Sunday afternoon.
Tre Fields had 21 points and six rebounds to lead the Cougars while
Jason Kenny added 14 points and five assists.Â
Alec Rodway and
Bryce Mondorff both added 11 points.
Kenny's fastbreak layup capped an 8-0 run to give MU a 17-9 lead midway through the first half. The Garnet closed the half on a 10-3 run to pull even, 33-33, at intermission.
The teams traded buckets early in the second half and
Noah Rivera's layup got the Cougars within 51-49 with 13:58 to play. Swarthmore scored 15 straight points over the next three minutes to take a 66-49 lead.
Misericordia will host Susquehanna, Wednesday at 7:30.
